On October 2nd and 3rd, 2025, Action for the Civil Society (AFCS) had the honor of being represented, through its partner, at the EVBB Annual Conference 2025, titled “Innovative Financing Models for the Future of VET”, held in Brussels.

Highlights of our participation:

  • On October 2nd, we took part in the networking evening at the Museum of Natural Sciences, where we met representatives of organizations from across Europe and initiated new, promising collaborations.

  • On October 3rd, at Area 42, we attended talks and discussions dedicated to the financing of Vocational Education and Training (VET), focusing on innovative practices and real-life implementation examples.

Representatives from European institutions, the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and other stakeholders shared their perspectives on the future of education and skills financing.

Sessions such as “Unlocking Investment in Skills” and “Public-Private Partnerships in VET” highlighted how cooperation between the public and private sectors can enhance the sustainability and accessibility of education at a European level.

Key takeaways from the experience

The conference served as a strong source of inspiration and reflection for our strategic approach, emphasizing:

  • The combination of public and private resources through outcome-based methodologies

  • Collaboration between organizations, businesses, and communities to build sustainable educational ecosystems

  • A focus on local needs and the active participation of young people

Action for the Civil Society extends its warm thanks to the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) for the excellent organization of the conference and for the opportunity to take part in such a meaningful dialogue on the future of education.

We also thank all speakers and participants for the valuable knowledge and ideas they shared. We return to Greece inspired and determined to apply what we learned in our projects!
