When war disrupts lives, education becomes more than a right — it becomes a bridge of hope.
Across Europe, thousands of Ukrainian students have been forced to rebuild their futures far from their homeland. Through the project “Bridges to Belonging,” we ensure that they do not have to cross this bridge alone.
Implemented under the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by Vistula University (Poland), the project brings together six partners who share a common vision: inclusion, resilience, and human connection.
Project partners:
Vistula University (Poland)
Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece)
Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania)
Action for the Civil Society (Greece)
Euro Lider Association (Poland)
Uzhhorod National University (Ukraine)
Together, we will develop and implement a Comprehensive Inclusion Framework for 250 displaced Ukrainian students, offering them not only access to education, but also a genuine sense of belonging.
We will train educators to teach with empathy and inclusiveness, create safe spaces for dialogue, and connect universities across Europe and Ukraine through strong partnerships.
On October 16th, 2025, we held our first partners’ meeting — a moment filled with energy and shared purpose. Representatives from Poland, Greece, Lithuania, and Ukraine came together not only to plan actions, but to affirm something deeper: that education has the power to heal.
For Action for the Civil Society, this project is a milestone. It is one of 11 projects we secured within a single year, proving that when passion meets collaboration, anything is possible.
