Description
The PoWER (Promoting Women Social Entrepreneurship in Rural Environments) project addresses the challenges of unemployment, gender imbalance, and depopulation in rural areas across Europe. With rural entrepreneurship rates significantly lower than urban areas, especially among women, the project aims to empower women in rural regions by developing tailored training content and digital platforms. These platforms will provide tools and resources in fields such as accounting, marketing, e-commerce, project management, and eco-sustainable entrepreneurship. By enhancing skills, addressing barriers like lack of training and financial access, and promoting work-life balance, PoWER seeks to foster gender equity, boost self-employment opportunities, and support sustainable rural development.
Objectives
1. Develop training content specifically designed for women in rural areas to empower them in starting and managing businesses.
2. Create two digital platforms offering tools and resources in key business fields such as accounting, marketing, e-commerce, design, project management, and eco-sustainable practices.
3. Promote eco-sustainable business development among rural women.
4. Provide mentoring sessions to beneficiaries, offering personalized guidance and support.
5. Disseminate training content and platform resources through partner networks to maximize outreach and impact.
